Yesterday, when I made this post, I was hit with an epiphany. The crashes happened at seemingly random times so I couldn't track it down. I thought that it was because my laptop either wasn't powerful enough or because it has an Nvidia GPU (unlike desktop, where I have AMD) and I've heard Nvidia was having issues. After a full day of playing on release, I set up my symlink from Google Drive so I could play it on my laptop at college the next day. BE AWARE THAT DOING THIS MAY CAUSE CRASHES. I'll do more testing when I have time.ĮDIT: It was the issue. I don't know if it's the cause, but after setting up a personal cloud save system (like I did for DS2), I've been getting crashes.
